Meet the Founder
Hello, I’m da moss plug, and I’m here to share the story behind Da Moss Plug. Our journey began on April 28th, 2022, and it all started with a simple yet powerful idea – to provide customers with superior and higher-quality seamoss in today’s market.
A Personal Transformation
Before the inception of Da Moss Plug, I was on a personal journey to transform my health. At my heaviest, I weighed 375 pounds, and I can laugh about it now, but I was quite “chunky” back then. Thanks to determination and hard work, I’ve shed the excess weight and now weigh 254 pounds, feeling better than ever.

During my own health transformation, I recognized a significant need for genuine seamoss. Much of what’s available today is pool-grown, rope-grown, and purely profit-driven, often at the expense of the environment, the divers, and consumers.

At Da Moss Plug, we take pride in responsibly sourcing all our seamoss from the picturesque shores of Jamaica 🇯🇲. The exact beach town is a well-guarded secret, known only to the divers and myself. It’s a place of stunning beauty, and we’re committed to protecting it from overharvesting and destruction. To us, “If it doesn’t grow on rocks, it’s fake!” – and we have plenty of rocks around here.
